CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Now, 16 years since it began, the Dan Khede/Mark Scarpelli rock opera, "MARY," has become a local holiday tradition -- but this year it has a twist. The Contemporary Youth Arts Company will stage the show with two sets of principal cast members trading off during the run.

Telling the Nativity story through young Mary's eyes, the production features a 15-piece orchestra, 25-member chorus and driving rock score. Mary and Joseph are played by Rowen Maher and Jonathan Tucker for all but the two Saturday matinees, when Katie Shaver and Daniel Calwell step into the roles.

Shows are 8 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Nov. 29-Dec. 1 and 2 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Dec. 1 at the Capitol Center Theater, 123 Capitol St. Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for students and seniors. Call 304-342-6522.
