LEWISBURG, W.Va. -- The general public can buy tickets starting Monday for the 2010-2011 Carnegie Hall series.
The season lineup is:
Sept. 17: The Capitol Steps. The Washington-based troupe presents a show of music and political satire.
Oct. 8: Josh Ritter. The singer, who has released five studio albums, has been named by Paste Magazine as one of the 100 greatest living songwriters.
Nov. 5: Step Afrika! A performance of heart-throbbing rhythms and pulse-pounding music.
Dec. 9:"Home for the Holidays." The West Virginia Symphony Orchestra holiday pops program with guest artist soprano Janet Brown.
Dec. 10: Ralph Stanley and The Clinch Mountain Boys. The iconic bluegrass performer and National Medal of the Arts recipient play.
Feb. 11: The Travelin' McCourys. The bluegrass band blends Appalachian tradition with jazz improvisation.
March 11: The Vienna Boys Choir. Each of the four touring choirs performs a repertoire from medieval chansons and Renaissance music to masses and lieder by Schubert.
March 18:"The Glass Menagerie." Walnut Street Theatre of Philadelphia presents the Tennessee Williams classic.
April 9: Javon Jackson Band. The group's playing incorporates many styles, including jazz, funk, R&B and rock.
May 20: The Seldom Scene. The progressive bluegrass band closes the season.
