  • A gym membership is always a perfect gift for someone who wants to exercise but isn't sure what type of activity to do. A membership allows the receiver to find his own way to fitness and to explore lots of physical opportunities. Personal training gift certificates also help those who are new to fitness or who want to ramp up their existing training regimen.
  • To be active, everyone needs a great pair of shoes. It's not usually a good idea to choose shoes for someone else so a gift certificate is a better option here.
  • Fish oil supplement is the most beneficial pill you can prescribe for yourself. So, why not give them to someone you love.
  • Fit gifts for kids

  • Hop Ball, which promotes coordination, balance and fun.
  • Little Yogi's Yoga Kit. Why not introduce them to yoga at an early age. Yoga builds strength, agility, posture and calms the mind.
  • Pedz Pedometer records your child's steps, miles and calories. This motivating tool will also teach them that every step counts.
  • Hyper Dash, Hyper Blast and Hyper Dash Extreme for ages 6 and up are my favorite interactive games. Even adults will get a kick out of these. Following the Hyper voice commands, you try to score the fastest times by striking targets. It requires movement and teaches speed, accuracy, numbers and colors. It's competitive but loads of fun.
  • Give your child the most valuable gift ever by being an active parent. If you are, they will be too, and nothing can top that!
  • Cindy Boggs, fitness presenter, author and Activate America director, has been an ACE-certified coordinator/instructor since 1989.
