Fundraiser for Trillium Arts

LEWISBURG, W.Va. -- "Hollywood in the Hills," a fun-filled faux formal fundraiser for Trillium Performing Arts Collective, will take place at 8 p.m. Sept. 8 at the historic Lewis Theatre.

Roller Derby bout to help camp

MADISON, W.Va. -- Proceeds from the "Clash in the Coalfields" roller derby bout will benefit Camp Kno Koma, a camp for West Virginia children with diabetes.

The Ancient Mystic Order of Samaritans Chemika #40 (members of the Odd Fellows Lodges) in cooperation with Heart of Appalachia Roller Derby will present the event at 7 p.m. Aug. 11 at the Madison Civic Center.

The Danville Area Lions Club will provide concessions, and a portion of the sales will be donated to Camp Kno Koma.
