CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin presented $623,495 in development grant funds on July 26 for 12 projects involving the restoration, rehabilitation or archaeological development of historic sites listed in the National Register of Historic Places at the Culture Center. The grants went to:
Bethany College, $2,860 to replace the roof on Stranger's Hall porch and Main House porch of the Alexander Campbell Mansion, Bethany.
Carnegie Hall Inc., $44,000 to repair the masonry at Carnegie Hall, Lewisburg.
Greenbrier County Commission, $40,000 to repair the cupola on the Greenbrier County Courthouse, Lewisburg.
Clarksburg-Harrison Public Library, $138,975 to replace the roof of Waldomore, the antebellum house that is part of the library's complex.
Maple Terrace Condominium Association, $34,384 to repair fascia, gutters and soffits of Maple Terrace, Charleston.
West Virginia Humanities Council, $24,376 to repair the windows of the McFarland-Hubbard House, Charleston.
Fairmont-Marion County Transit Authority, $65,865 to replace the roof and repair windows at 401 Monroe St., Fairmont.
Pisgah Holdings LLC, $44,416 to repair masonry, gutters, downspouts and windows of the Spadafore Building, Fairmont.
Woman's Club of Fairmont, $18,712 to repair and replace rotten wood, repair declamation of stucco and install new pebble-dashed veneer on the back wall of the Thomas Fleming House, Fairmont.
