Poor Farm Fest
WILLIAMSBURG, W.Va. -- Poor Farm Fest will take place Sept. 6-9 at the Poor Farm Festival grounds in Williamsburg, on the Frankford-Williamsburg Road.
Kofi Baker will headline the Sept. 7 show, playing at 8 p.m. Devon Allman will headline the 8 p.m. Sept. 8 show with his blues-rock Honeytribe band.

Coal River model train show
CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. -- The Coal River Model Railroad Club and the town of Chapmanville are sponsoring a model train show Sept. 22 and 23 at the municipal center, 329 Tiger Way.
Hours for the free show are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 22 and 1 to 6 p.m. Sept. 23.
The show will feature model train items in all scales for sale or for trade. There will be about 40 tables of items at the show as well as operating layouts.
SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- The eighth annual concert for the benefit of the Shepherdstown Battlefield Preservation Association Inc. will begin at 8 p.m. Sept. 21 at the Train Station at Shepherdstown.
Don Oehser and Todd Coyle will provide the entertainment. A $10 donation is requested at the door. There will be free food, adult beverages for a small donation and soft drinks. An auction with Civil War interest is planned.

Dancing at Stonewall Resort
WESTON, W.Va. -- A weekend of ballroom and Latin dances and dance instruction will take place Sept. 21-23 at Stonewall Resort near Weston.
WV Dance Inc., based in Charleston, is hosting two dances that will allow dancers to enjoy a variety of ballroom, swing, salsa and other Latin dances.
The September workshop weekend at Stonewall is open to dancers of all abilities.
The double-occupancy price for the weekend is $350 per couple and includes two nights' lodging, breakfast buffet for two on the mornings of Sept. 22 and 23, and all the dance lessons and dances for two people.
