Charleston Town Center Mall seeking middle school students for Junior Board
Advertiser

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Tryouts for the 2012-2013 Charleston Town Center Mall Junior Board will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday in Macy's Court. Applicants only need to attend one of the days.

The board is a volunteer program for middle school students that teaches them about marketing, public relations, advertising, fashion, retail operations and more. Board members participate in fashion shows, help at mall events, work in the mall office and generally serve as goodwill ambassadors for the mall.

At tryouts, students will complete an application form and talk to a judging panel. They will also walk the runway, though modeling experience is not required to be on the board. Students are selected based on their application information, personality, availability and interest.

Tryouts for the teen board, which is for high school students, are 6 p.m. Sept. 18 and 19.
