Fat Patty's opens
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Fat Patty's, a chain of restaurants featuring large sandwiches and burgers, recently opened in Teays Valley in the location of the former Shoney's. The Teays Valley restaurant is Fat Patty's fourth store. Other locations are in Barboursville, Huntington and Ashland, Ky.

Healthy late night
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Bar 101 has added a late-night menu of food from Ichiban. The menu features healthier, lighter items than typical bar food, including maki rolls, pork, crab and shrimp dumplings, naked chicken wings, edamame and squid salad.
"We feel this will offer a different alternative to late-night food, a healthier options," said Laura Miller, who owns Bar 101 and Ichiban with her husband, Scott.
The menu will be offered from 9 to 11 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays and from 10 p.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays.

Taste of Our Town
LEWISBURG, W.Va. -- Carnegie Hall's Taste of Our Town will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 13 in downtown Lewisburg. About 50 vendors will provide tastes. Guests purchase $1 tokens to exchange for tastes. Cash will not be accepted at vendor booths.
