MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- The West Virginia Botanic Garden's annual Fall Children's Festival will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 14 at 1061 Tyrone Road. The festival is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
This year's featured activity is the construction of fairy houses in the Fairy Garden. Professional photographs will be taken of each child with his or her fairy house. Other events include pumpkin painting, pinecone bird feeders, leaf crafts, bulb planting and other nature-themed projects.
The Children's Discovery Museum of West Virginia will provide children's activities.
Parking is limited and carpooling is highly recommended. The event is sponsored in part by the Weldon Family Foundation.
