CharCon comes to Charleston
Advertiser

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The CharCon gaming convention comes to the Charleston Civic Center from Friday through Sunday, featuring a wealth of activities and gameplay surrounding board games, role-playing games and video games, including a North American Championship (NACC) Qualifier for the board game "The Settlers of Catan" (see photo). This year's theme is "Post Apocalypse," so expect some of the gaming to center on blasted landscapes and spooky, weed-choked abandoned cities that might not be so abandoned. A weekend pass is $40, while a day-pass is $20 for Friday, $25 for Saturday, and $20 for Sunday. Children 12 and under are $10 a day or $20 for the weekend. Visitors can get in for $5 but will be unable to play games. The event runs noon to midnight Friday, 9 a.m. to midnight Saturday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. Visit www.charcon.org for more details.
