Teddy Roosevelt "was actually an extremely subtle and sophisticated diplomat who won the Nobel Peace Prize," says TR biographer Edmund Morris.

"The caricature of the flamboyant Rough Rider was the general impression [of TR] when he accidentally became president," says biographer Edmund Morris.

Why is this man laughing? "[Teddy Roosevelt] once said, 'I've enjoyed life as much as any other nine men I know,'" says TR biographer Edmund Morris.

Edmund Morris wrote a three-volume biography of Teddy Roosevelt. Morris will speak Oct. 25 on "The Nine Lives of Theodore Roosevelt" at the Culture Center Theater.
