CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- I never, ever imagined that I would meet Justin Bieber!
I live in Almost Heaven Petersburg, W.Va., and five months ago I took a cardboard cutout of Justin Bieber to my senior prom. Everyone in town quickly learned that I have Bieber Fever.
In May, some friends surprised me with a Justin Bieber concert ticket as a graduation gift. (Thank you, Tyler and Leslie Kuhn.) Several months later, I was having a very bad day when I checked my Facebook and found a message from my friend, Amy Cooper. It said, "Ryanne!!! YOU ARE GOING TO MEET JUSTIN BIEBER!!!"
Immediately my day was turned around!
I listened to Justin Bieber songs like crazy, trying to prepare myself. My mom, Andrea Michael, came up with the idea to make a Justin Bieber duct tape skirt, and my grandma, Virginia Hedrick, designed the skirt using Justin Bieber duct tape, fabric and Velcro.
On Tuesday, the day of the concert, I was beyond excited. My sisters and I drove to Pittsburgh, and at 2:45 p.m., I was in a line to meet Justin Bieber!
The line moved pretty swiftly. I kept thinking I was in a dream until I saw Justin's bodyguard.
Before I knew it, it was my turn to go in to meet him. I had no clue what to say, but I knew I wanted to be myself. I walked through the black curtains of the private Bieber tent and felt like I was as white as a ghost. I wish I could have seen the reaction on my face. I was in total shock at first!
I know I said hi, and he hugged me twice. I tried to tell him a little bit about prom, and I gave him a photo album that had all the pictures from prom, as well as a West Virginia hat. It was all very quick.
After the meet-and-greet, I met up with my sisters for the concert. We had a wonderful time! It was really cool meeting Justin Bieber. He was a really nice guy!
