18th-century weekend

MULLENS, W.Va. -- An 18th-century weekend is planned for Jan. 18-20 at Twin Falls Resort State Park. "Tracking and Wood Lore weekend creates the experience of how our ancestors tracked the animals that provided food and clothing," said park naturalist Bryan Danford.

Participants will go on tracking walks and test their new skills with a scavenger hunt. Other topics cover Indian stories, a presentation on edible and medicinal plants, and a trading camp. An 18th-century-style dinner is included.

Package prices include two nights' lodging, Saturday dinner, break refreshments and all event activities. The price is $215 for two people. Cabin rates and other options are available.

Advance reservations are required. Call 304-294-4000 or email twinfall...@wv.gov. The workshop agenda is posted at www.twinfallsresort.com/Events/Deals.
