Help with tax forms
ST. ALBANS, W.Va. -- AARP tax preparation volunteers will assist with filing tax returns again this year at the Hansford Center, 500 Washington St., St. Albans.
The volunteers will be available from 1 to 4 p.m. on Mondays and Fridays through tax season, beginning Feb. 4. This year, assistance will be given by appointment. To schedule an appointment, call the Hansford Center at 304-722-4621.
Men's shelter needs
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Items needed this week for the Crossroads men's shelter are cereal, milk, eggs, bacon or sausage, butter or margarine, oatmeal and orange juice.
Items may be dropped off anytime from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Crossroads, 503 Leon Sullivan Way.
The deadline for submissions to Help Out is noon Wednesday for the following Sunday. If you would like a response from the public, please provide the name and telephone number of a person who can be listed in the newspaper.
