Sunday's Child: Lovable boy needs loving home

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Meet Jesse, a very lovable 11-year-old who is looking for a forever family. Jesse has severe autism and is mildly mentally impaired.

He is able to complete his daily tasks, including personal hygiene. He loves to work on computers and write on a whiteboard. He thrives in a very structured environment. He loves to be tickled. Jesse has limited verbal ability, but this is improving daily. He is able to communicate his needs and can sing songs and say simple phrases.

Jesse has no behavioral problems, though he does at times get frustrated because of his limited verbal abilities. He is a very loving child with a sweet disposition. He loves attention and affection. He has a gift for memorizing things. He can memorize movie credits and then write them down. He interacts well with other children. Jesse desperately needs a home where he can receive love, attention and structure.
