Men's shelter needs

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Crossroads men's shelter needs the following items:

Pine-Sol, 30-gallon trash bags, toilet tissue, hand sanitizer, food handling gloves, lunchmeats, soups, Ramen noodles and any canned goods.

Items may be dropped off anytime from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Crossroads, 503 Leon Sullivan Way.

Students donate food

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Students at Charleston Catholic High School, as part of Catholic Schools Week, collected the following food and delivered it to Trinity Table between Jan. 27 and Feb. 1:

  • 137 pounds of spaghetti noodles (about 1,096 servings)
  • 60 pounds of other types of pasta.
  • Nearly 23 gallons of spaghetti sauce
  • 1 can of Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cans of tuna
  • Trinity Table serves dinner to the hungry at 5 p.m. Sundays at Trinity Lutheran Church on Kanawha Boulevard.
