CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- You can help select the cover for a special issue of Wonderful West Virginia magazine.

The June 2013 issue will feature dozens of photographs taken and submitted by readers for a "Day in the Life of West Virginia" issue. From thousands of submitted photographs, four have been chosen by magazine staff as potential covers for the issue.

The public is encouraged to pick a favorite and vote on the final choice on the magazine's newly redesigned Web page at www.wonderfulwv.com.

In September, magazine readers were asked to take photographs at different times of the day that showed what makes West Virginia special. More than 5,000 photographs taken by about 1,000 photographers were submitted.

The best photographs will be published in June in conjunction with West Virginia's sesquicentennial celebration. It will be the first all-photograph issue of the magazine in more than 25 years.

Magazine publisher Bryan Hoffman said so many good photographs were submitted that the staff couldn't decide on just one for the cover. "So we're asking for help from our readers and the public."
