Winery tour for fruit farmers

West Virginia State University Extension Service will host an educational vineyard tour aimed at small fruit farmers on March 23. The tour of Kirkwood Winery in Summersville is the first of a planned series of vineyard tours throughout the state.

Winery staff members will conduct the tour and provide information on fruit tree maintenance and other aspects of the winemaking industry.

The tour costs $40, which includes transportation and the tour. Participants will depart by bus from the WVSU campus at 8:15 a.m. and will stop for lunch before the tour. The bus will arrive back at campus at about 5 p.m.

Registration is required. Call Brad Cochran at 304-541-3301 or email bcochr...@wvstateu.edu.
