Local models and fashions showcased at style show
By Jen Wood Cunningham, WV Style Team
On Thursday, the West Virginia Symphony League will present "Girl on Fire," a premier fashion experience at Smith Company Motor Cars featuring fashion from West Virginia. Models will don "off-the-rack" collections as well as couture collectibles in a variety of looks and trends.
A champagne reception will begin at 6 p.m. and feature a silent auction and "In the Bag" purse auction. The silent auction features an adventure of a lifetime -- a two-week trip to experience the Italian life in Tuscany at the premier Casa di Tracy. This Italian villa is located in Mercatale di Cortona, located in Tuscany's Niccone Valley.
Following the runway show, guests will be invited to visit a special 'Pop Up Shop' consisting of the ensembles featured on the runway and additional pieces and accessories from the presenting retailers' collections.
After the show, guests can mingle with the models and members of the West Virginia Symphony League and Girl on Fire planning committee. Coffee and desserts are on the menu along with the new Jaguar F Type, the first sports car in 50 years from Jaguar.
Tickets are sold out. For more information, visit www.wvfashionshow.com.
