Art Store display
The Art Store is displaying an assortment of new and recent works called "Out in the Open" through Aug. 9.
The selected works include paintings, prints, photographs, handmade pottery items, mixed media works, drawings and sculpture by local and national artists.

Two exhibits at Carnegie Hall
LEWISBURG -- Carnegie Hall in Lewisburg is presenting two art exhibits through August.
Romney Shelton Collins's "Nothing but Joy" exhibit is in the Old Stone Room. Collins, who lives in Greenbrier County and in Port St. Lucie, Fla., teaches art in both locations.
Her oil paintings are in the permanent collection of the University of Charleston, and she is a juried member of Tamarack.
In the auditorium gallery is Pamela Gatens' "Colorful Cats and Flowers" exhibit.
Pamela Gatens of Pocahontas County is an artist in the impressionist style who finds her inspiration in colorful cats and flowers. Her work is in The Colony Gallery at The Greenbrier Hotel and at Tamarack.
A reception for the Gatens exhibit will be from 5 to 8 p.m. July 25 in conjunction with the evening's free Ivy Terrace Concert.
The galleries at Carnegie Hall are open and free to the public from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. Many of the works are available for purchase, which benefits the artist and the Hall.
