Children's book released
Charleston author Eric Douglas has just re-released his first children's book "Sea Turtle Rescue." It is available in paperback and Kindle formats.
This is the third edition of "Sea Turtle Rescue," a chapter book written for children ages 5 to 9. The environmental organization Oceana published the first edition and for the last year and a half it was licensed to the Newspapers in Education program.
The story concerns an injured sea turtle that shows up on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, and four children search the beach to find the turtle's nest and protect it from danger.
State's sports history
West Virginia University Press just published Bob Barnett's new book "Hillside Fields: A History of Sports in West Virginia."
In the book is a chapter on then West Virginia State's national championship basketball teams in the 1940s.
Barnett's first book was "Growing Up In The Last Small Town."
