Fun 3-D bow shoot
PIPESTEM, W.Va. -- The West Virginia Bowhunters Association is host to three days of bow shooting fun Sept. 13-15 at Pipestem State Park.
Registration for a 3-D Coon Shoot is 8 p.m. Sept. 13. A 28-target 3-D Bowhunters Course, novelty shoots and food concessions will be offered from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 14 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 15.

World music/arts festival
PIPESTEM, W.Va. -- Culturefest World Music & Arts Festival, a weekend-long, multicultural immersion in the creative arts, will celebrate its 10th anniversary Sept. 5-8 at Appalachian South Folklife Center in Pipestem.
The event features four stages of performances, children's activities, workshops, healing arts and camping. A new lounge tent complete with inflatable furniture and atmospheric lighting will allow the show to go on even in inclement weather.
The lineup of performers includes Sylvana Joyce + The Moment (gypsy rock, blues, cabaret), from New York City; William the Accountant (funk, new wave with cultural polyrhythmic undertones), from Columbus, Ohio; Rattlemouth (world sounds from Lebanese trance music to Ethiopian jazz), from Richmond, Va.; Luminaries (hip-hop), from Venice Beach, Calif.; Geen Sunshine (hip-hop) from Tampa, Fla.; and Gideon's Rifle (folk/newgrass), from Louisville, Ky.
Several West Virginia artists are in the lineup: Option 22 (eclectic/Americana), The Gin Mills (blues/rock), The Company Stores (modern blues/folk), Melissa McKinney (rock/blues), Tim & Maggie (folk), Cody Perkins & Company (indie/folk rock), Colby Elswick (Americana), Pipes and The Peacehounds (rock); and Chally Erb (movement/performance art).

Dinner cruise and concert
PARKERSBURG, W.Va. -- A sternwheeler ride on the Ohio River, dinner and Motown-sound concert is set for 6 p.m. Sept. 6 in Parkersburg.
Enjoy a country-style dinner and cruise on the sternwheeler Island Belle, which will return to Point Park at 7:30 p.m. for Who's Bad, a live performance tribute to Michael Jackson.

Mountain Music Trail
MARLINTON, W.Va. -- Five counties have joined together to create the Mountain Music Trail to promote cultural tourism and sustainable economic development through traditional music, dance and folkways of the Allegheny Mountains region.
The music genres are focused on old-time, bluegrass, regionally significant ethnic, country and gospel that ties to place. The trail is loosely based along the U.S. 219 corridor and currently has 27 partners, said Cara Rose, coordinator of the Mountain Music Trail.
