Empty Bowls is an international grassroots effort to fight hunger. Potters and other craftspeople, educators and others work with the community to create handcrafted bowls. Guests pay for a simple meal of soup and bread and, in exchange, are asked to keep a bowl as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the world.
Manna Meal soup kitchen has partnered with Taylor Books and Capitol Clay Arts Co. to make bowls as fast as they can.
