CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The American Lung Association is offering Christmas Seals to spruce up holiday cards or packages.
First issued in 1907, the ALA used money raised through the sale of Christmas Seals to combat tuberculosis. Today, funds from the purchase of Christmas Seals help the ALA battle lung cancer, asthma, influenza, tobacco use, air pollution and more.
For information on Christmas Seals, visit www.christmasseals.org. The site includes images of past Christmas Seals as well as information about how the ALA uses each donation. Christmas Seal supporters can also share this year's Christmas Seal on Facebook to show their support.
