Cafe Cimino chef chosen for honor

Chef Tim Urbanic of Cafe Cimino Country Inn has been named for a second year in a row one of the Best Chefs In America - The American South. The book presenting the chefs includes one recipe from each state in the South. Urbanic's recipe for homemade gnocchi with morels and ramps was selected to represent West Virginia.

The 248-page book includes profiles of chefs and recipes from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.

Cafe Cimino Country Inn is located in Sutton, W.Va., on the banks of the Elk River on the first floor of the old PJ Berry historic mansion. Chef Tim specializes in Southern Italian Cuisine and Euro/Mediterranean dishes.

Whenever possible he uses organically grown herbs and vegetables from the family farm. Cafe Cimino Country Inn, notes the establishment's website, "is part of West Virginia's 'slow food' movement which is based on the premise that people need to slow down enough to enjoy fine dining."
