MODES:

Resistance machines: better suited to beginners, seniors or for those recovering from an injury

Free weights: dumbbells, barbells

Body weight: push-ups

How will this help me?

Strength training will benefit you in many ways: It will reduce stress on your joints; increase connective tissue strength; burn more calories at rest; improve posture; decreases risk of insulin resistance; decrease risk of obesity; improve lean body composition; increase bone density; improve athletic performance; and prevent injury as you age.

Defining fitness
