The exterior of Pies & Pints, 222 Capitol St., looks ready for business, but owners David Bailey and Kim Shingledecker says the interior still needs work.

The iconic mural of a white elephant on the restaurant's wall was restored after a previous renter painted over it. A newly built concrete bar holds construction materials. The Roto-Flex oven behind the bar bakes 24 pizzas at one time.

The interior will be roughly divided into three areas: a front seating and bar in the front, open seating along the somewhat open kitchen and a more private dining area in the rear.
