Amy Dotson, assistant manager of Soho's, says the Capitol Market restaurant gets 15 to 20 calls a week to see if it's still open.
"Ever since the article that we filed bankruptcy came out, people are assuming we're closed," Dotson said. "We're still here. We're not going anywhere."
In August Soho's filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection while it reorganized from past debts incurred by the late owner Bill Sohovich during the operation of other restaurants.
Soho's is open for lunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and for dinner from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Free turkey promotion
MILTON -- Foodland shoppers can earn a free frozen turkey when they use their Rewards Card and spend at least $350 at participating Foodland stores now through Nov. 16.
The 14-pound Grade A frozen turkey courtesy of Foodland is a promotion for its rewards program, introduced in June. When customers spend $499, they're eligible to take home up to a 22-pound Grade A Tom turkey (with the exception of Butterball and limited to one per family.)
Customers will be able to redeem their Foodland rewards, after receiving an email notifying them of their qualification, toward a free turkey, beginning Nov. 17 and continuing through Thanksgiving.
Said Bill Lipsky, director of merchandising at SUPERVALU, which supplies Foodland locations, "By rewarding shoppers for their existing purchasing habits at Foodland, we believe that through the turkey promotion, we'll bring even more savings to their upcoming holiday meals."
