Healthy Bites: A touch of honey sweetens carrots

     2     tablespoons Smart Balance buttery spread or favorite butter choice

     2     tablespoons honey

     1/2     teaspoon lemon juice

     1/4     teaspoon ground ginger

     1/8     teaspoon salt

COOK carrots in water to cover until tender, about 20 minutes; drain.

COMBINE remaining ingredients in small microwave-safe bowl as carrots cook; microwave honey mixture until butter is melted, whisking to blend.

POUR mixture over hot, drained carrots, stirring to coat; serve warm.

Nutrition information: Per 1/2 cup: 70 calories, 20 calories from fat, 2 grams fat, zero grams saturated fat, zero milligrams cholesterol, 115 milligrams sodium, 13 grams carbohydrates, 2 grams fiber, 1 gram protein.
