'Holiday in Pink'
SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Attendees are invited to be pampered at "Holiday in Pink" from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Holiday Inn and Suites Charleston West in South Charleston.
Sponsored by the hotel, the South Charleston Rotary Club, Wellness Council of West Virginia and Susan G. Komen for the Cure West Virginia, the free event is geared toward breast cancer awareness and other health issues.
Spa activities, giveaways, entertainment and a health fair will be featured. The movie "Pretty in Pink" will be played and the hotel will provide food and beverages to all attendees.
The Komen group will use the event for team packet pickup and preregistering teams for the Race for the Cure, which takes place May 5.

HospiceCare yard sale
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- HospiceCare is having its first-ever yard sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 5 in the parking lot of its main office at 1606 Kanawha Blvd. W., near Patrick Street on the West Side.
Proceeds from the sale will benefit Friends of Hospice volunteer program.
Volunteers will be grilling hot dogs and selling snacks and drinks.
