The food and money will go to St. Mark's Episcopal Church for its Christ's Kitchen and Community Food Pantry.
The event is put on by Chapter 2190 of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. The original bridge was a covered toll bridge built in 1832. Those who make donations will receive a copy of the history of the bridge.
Donations also may be made in the Loop parking lot, across from the post office, or call Jim Meddings at 304-722-2908 to have donations picked up.
