CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The Alzheimer's Association, West Virginia Chapter, will honor former Executive Director Nancy Cipoletti and retiring Executive Director Jane Marks with the 2013 Rockefeller Award at the annual Thanks for the Memories Luncheon March 23 at the Charleston Marriott Town Center.
The Rockefeller Award is named in honor of the first recipient, Sen. Jay Rockefeller, and is given each year by the chapter to two individuals for their outstanding support and dedication to the cause of fighting Alzheimer's disease.
Marks, who was the first director of the newly formed chapter in 2001, is retiring in June.
Cipoletti joined the Alzheimer's Association, Southern West Virginia Chapter, as part-time executive director in 1990, and in 2001 she helped the new West Virginia Chapter expand its reach as program director. She is director of Alzheimer's programs for the Bureau of Senior Services.
The annual luncheon is a key fundraiser for the chapter. Tickets are $75 and can be purchased by calling 800-272-3900 or by visiting www.alz.org/wv.
