CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Elementary students from Charleston Montessori School are holding a drive to collect cereal for Covenant House. The drive will continue through Sept. 18.
Students are collecting cereal schoolwide and encourage the community to join in the effort. Boxes or bags of cereal may be dropped off during school hours, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, at the school, 805 Price St., on the West Side.
The students learned of the need for food during a tour of the Covenant House Drop-In Center when they delivered 200 tubes of toothpaste.
