2     tablespoons butter, melted and cooled slightly

     2     tablespoons creamy peanut butter

     1     teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper to taste (about 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper)

MIX melted butter, peanut butter, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper into ground beef, being careful not to overwork the mixture.

FORM each pound of beef into 3 patties (if you are weighing, they should be between 5 and 6 ounces each. I like to buy ground beef in packages of 1.25 pounds so I can make full 6-ounce burgers).

PLACE patties on plate and place in refrigerator for 30 minutes or so while you are lighting the grill.

PREPARE charcoal or heat gas grill.

GRILL burgers over medium-high heat, turning frequently, until done to your preference. Don't press down on the burgers!

SERVE with your favorite condiments. Add a slice of cheese just as they come off the grill if you prefer.
