Head to thegazz.com/popcult to view the 101st episode of "Radio Free Charleston," which includes music from Josh Buskirk, The Gypsy Nomads and The Buttonflies, plus a sequel from MURFMEEF and a trailer for the film "Toxic Soup," which WV Film blogger Steve Fesenmaier calls "a worthy successor to Mimi Pickering's landmark film, 'Chemical Valley.'"
Show host and producer Rudy Panucci says in the program notes at his PopCult blog that the host segments were shot on a warm Saturday afternoon in front of the Robert C. Byrd Federal Courthouse on Virginia Street "for absolutely no reason other than the fact that we hadn't shot there yet."
He adds, "We're still so wiped out from the big double-sized 100th episode that we didn't put a lot of thought into our host location this time. The music and film on the show is top-notch, though, so don't think we're slacking."
