Charleston Distance Run interactive map

The 36th annual Charleston Distance Run takes participants through a winding path up West Virginia's hills, through the city streets, around the Capitol and along the Kanawha River. The race starts at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30. Before lacing up your running shoes, track the route of the 15-mile course from its start on Virginia Street to the finish at Laidley Field.
Click on the start and finish icons, as well as each numeral in between, for tips and advice from race director Gary Smith to help prepare you mentally and physically for the challenging course. Check out photos of previous races and note the aid stations. You'll need the water.
