Workers cut loose the middle 50-foot section of the old Nitro-St. Albans Bridge Tuesday and lowered it down to a barge. The bridge is being cut apart into 15 pieces in the upcoming days for removal so a new three-lane span can replace it. The new span has been scheduled for completion by November.
