A Charleston man is charged with multiple sexual offenses for moving into the home of a 14-year-old girl and sleeping with her, according to West Virginia State Police.
Samuel Tolbert, 26, was arrested Friday on 232 counts of third-degree sexual assault and 232 counts of third-degree sexual abuse, according to a release.
The girl told police the abuse started in January of 2007 and that the assaults happened about four times a week over the past year.
The victim's mother was charged with 232 counts of child neglect because she knew about the relationship, state police said.
Tolbert has no prior convictions, according to the release. He was in South Central Regional Jail Friday night.
