Hansford Center will have an Independence Day program at 11 a.m. Thursday at the center, 500 Washington St., St. Albans. Door prizes, music, dancers and more will be featured. Hansford's 28th anniversary celebration will be held at 11 a.m. on Aug. 1. For information, call 722-4621. American Red Cross Charleston Donor Center will be open for blood donations from 1 to 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 4501 MacCorkle Ave S.E., Suite 2. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments will be honored.American Marble Tournament will be held July 9-12 at the Charleston Civic Center. The state's top youth players compete for a $1,000 scholarship to the college of their choice. All competitors have previously won area tournaments to qualify for the opportunity to play. In addition to the tournament a marble display will be featured and bags for sale.Charleston Christian Women will sponsor a "Let's Go ... It's Playtime" Brunch from 11 a.m. to 1230 p.m. July 16 at the Chilton House, 2 Sixth Ave., St. Albans. The cost is $12 inclusive. Teresa Slone will give a talk on "Discovery Toys" that promotes imagination, communication and family involvement. Guest speaker will be Kathy Sly from Ulster Park, N.Y.
