HARTS - A 10-year-old boy accidentally hanged himself Monday in Harts and is in critical condition, said Trooper D.J. Miller of the West Virginia State Police, Hamlin detachment.
The boy, whose name hasn't been released, was swinging over a chain link fence on a rope hanging from a tree. His neck got caught in a loop in the rope, Miller said.
The accident happened about 7:30 p.m. Monday, the trooper said. The boy was taken to Logan General Hospital, he said.
