FUTURE EVENTS
West Virginia State Community and Technical College will hold a registration session at 6 p.m. Monday for Braxton, Clay, Fayette, Nicholas and Roane County residents who wish to take academic classes at its Clay County educational and Entrepreneurial Center located at 4208 Wallback Road, Wallback. For more information and classes offered, contact Edith Worrells, vice president of Academic Affairs at WV State Community and Technical College at 766-3118.
Preceptor Alpha chapter of Beta Sigma Phi International Sorority will meet at 730 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul. United Methodist Church, Kanawha Turnpike in Spring Hill. President Ann Stone will conduct the business meeting and will have a short board meeting. The program will be presented by Carolyn Rollins. Refreshments will be served after the business meeting. Service is tabs for Ronald McDonald house, containers for Manna Meals and magazines for veterans.
Pilot Club of St. Albans will have a dinner meeting at 630 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Albans Woman's Club. Guest will be Pam Gray, president-elect of the Ohio-Kentucky-West Virginia Region.
United Way of Southern West Virginia is sponsoring its Charity Golf Event with tee times at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Aug. 23 at Bridgehaven Golf Course, located off Gatewood Road, Gatewood. Gatewood is located between Oak Hill and Fayetteville. Participants will pay $50 per person, and includes the golf, a cart and lunch. For more information, call 253-2111 or mail an entry application and fee to United Way of Southern West Virginia, P.O. Box 5456, Beckley, WV 25801.
