KANAWHA TRAIL CLUB HIKE: 1:30 p.m., Ansted Rail Trail, 4 miles. Carpool from Ohio and Randolph streets. Regroup at Hawk's Nest Lodge parking lot off U.S. 60. Easy hike to New River and back. Afterward, hikers will stop at Chimney Corner Café for supper and entertainment. Call 342-8755.
THE GREAT DOG HOUSE BLITZ: 2 to 5 p.m., Magic Island. Sponsored by Habitat for Humanity of Kanawha and Putnam counties to celebrate the 20th Anniversary Habitat Homecoming.
