Kanawha United Presbyterian Church will sponsor its next Kanawha Forum at 12:05 p.m. Wednesday at the church, 1009 Virginia St. E. Admission is free. Luncheons are $10 and by pre-paid reservations only. The program will feature a piano quintet with Maryrose Nair, piano; Jenny Morris, oboe; Robert Turizziani, clarinet; Marsha Palmer, horn; and Michael Bevers, bassoon. The menu is corn and crab chowder, spinach and feta cheese salad, sweet potato biscuits, grape salad with a twist.

American Red Cross will sponsor blood drives from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Sissonville High School, 6301 Sissonville Drive; and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 18 at Good Shepherd Baptist Church, 15 Scott Lane, Scott Depot.
