MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- The struggling economy doesn't seem to be dampening the job market for West Virginia University students.
WVU Career Services Center director David Durham says employers are still contacting the university at a high rate. And Durham says more than 100 employers showed up for a job fair in September and 150 for an engineering job fair the following month.
Durham says 85 percent of WVU students who look for jobs before graduating have offers in hand by the time they get diplomas. He says programs such as nursing, pharmacy, engineering, physical therapy and dentistry have the highest placement rates.
