CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A 23-year-old Ripley woman died today after a single-vehicle accident near the Edens Fork exit on Interstate 77, according to Lt. Bryan Stover of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department.

Autumn Meadows was driving a Toyota Tacoma pick-up truck southbound when the accident occurred at 11:45 a.m. Investigators believe the truck traveled off the right side of the road, hit the embankment and flipped over. The car came to rest in the southbound lanes.

Investigators determined Meadows was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash, and wet road conditions may have been a factor in the accident.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and there were no other passengers in the victim's vehicle.

Deputies and emergency personnel shut down the southbound lanes of I-77 for more than an hour to investigate and clear the scene.

The accident is still under investigation.
