MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- A Morgantown escort service operator convicted of charges stemming from a prostitution business has been sentenced to 33 months in a federal prison.
Donna Duelley of Morgantown also must forfeit her share in property up to $61,103, the amount the jury determined she derived through illegal activities.
U.S. District Judge Irene Keeley sentenced the 42-year-old Duelley on Thursday.
Duelley was convicted in July on charges of perjury, conspiracy and racketeering.
While awaiting sentencing, her bond was revoked after she allegedly contacted a government witness.
Duelley's attorney, Jim Zimarowski, says her conviction will be appealed. He says Duelley's business was a legal escort service that provided exotic dancers for parties and other private events.

It still sounds quite harsh. Violent people get shorter sentences than that. Our jails fill with people convicted of petty, non-violent offenses while a revolving door frees the truly dangerous over and over again.
