Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2008 - Ripley High School cheerleaders watch the festivities as Don Tate and Mark Porter announce the grand opening of the Tate/Porter Family Auto Mall. Shrugging off the downturn in the economy and the struggles of the auto industry, Tate, who owns a dealership with Porter in Pomeroy, Ohio, bought the sprawling Ripley car dealership — formerly Tom Peden — in November.
