CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- An effort to bring public drinking water to 110 families in McDowell County is getting more than $1.7 million in federal stimulus funding.

U.S. Rep. Nick Rahall said Thursday that the U.S. Department of Agriculture approved a $1.3 million grant and a $400,000 loan for phase four of the Jolo water project.

Rahall said the project will provide safe public drinking water to residents in the Bradshaw Mountain area.
