BECKLEY, W.Va. -- The West Virginia Music Hall of Fame is looking at state-owned arts and crafts showplace Tamarack as a potential permanent home for its growing collection.

A permanent exhibit of hall of fame displays is projected to open at the Beckley attraction in September. On display will be an old Victrola record player, a jukebox and instruments that belonged to famous West Virginia musicians.

Michael Lipton, the hall of fame's project director, says he's been talking with state and federal officials about funding sources for a permanent building on the Tamarack grounds.

The hall of fame is now based in an office at the state Cultural Center at the Capitol.

Michael Lipton as the chief organizer wants a "freebie" building by using taxpayers money ! His values and understandings of West Va. music and West Va. musicians is lacking.

To understand Liptons ideology and deceptive thoughts on West Va music just read his publications and his Bio. That should tell you were this carpet bagger is coming from !

As a member Mountain Stage ,which is a cult and a closed society. Lipton is like the rest of "that" gang. Promotes music and out of state bands and has closed the doors on most natived borned West Va. bands. And the "Mountain Stage ers" has been living off the West Va. taxpayers money way to long !
