CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Megan Williams is changing her story of abuse -- again.
She now says that she was raped and tortured. Less than a month ago, a lawyer representing Williams held a press conference saying Williams was recanting her original claims.
State Police found Williams at the mobile home of Bobby Brewster and his mother, Frankie Brewster, on Sept. 8, 2007. She was in a relationship with Bobby Brewster. Seven people were convicted of crimes against her.
According to the admissions of those convicted, Williams was physically and sexually abused. She was beaten repeatedly, burned with hot wax, stabbed in the leg, and forced to perform oral sex on at least two defendants.
Williams said she decided to call The Gazette on Friday and be interviewed because she had been receiving phone threats after she said the abuse didn't happen.
Williams still maintains that some of her claims of abuse were not true. Williams says she was lying when she said she was forced to eat rat feces and drink out of a toilet. She also says she was lying when she said hot water was poured on her, she was beaten with switches and forced to drink urine.
Williams says Bobby Brewster took her to Logan County, and that she met him through her now-deceased stepmother, Carmen Williams.
"They said I was going to a party and there was no party," she said. "Why did they do that? I really don't know why they did that."
Williams also says some of her stories of Carmen Williams abusing her were untrue.
"She did do a few things to me," Megan said. "She did hit me a couple of times."
When asked why she lied, Williams' only answer was because Carmen Williams told her to.
"Carmen said, if I lie and tell all these lies I can get a lot of money out of this," Williams said. "I was scared of Carmen."

Williams now lives in Columbus, Ohio, with her sister and Valencia Daniels, who took Williams in after learning about the abuse case.
"People keep making threats against me and my sister, Shala," Williams said. "They say they are going to tell me and my mom [Daniels], that all we gonna see is death. ... It shouldn't have to be like this."
After Williams was found in September 2007, her story attracted national attention.
Malik Shabazz, co-founder of Black Lawyers for Justice and a member of the New Black Panther Party, gave Williams and her family legal counsel. National activist the Rev. Al Sharpton attended a rally for Megan Williams in Charleston in December 2007 and gave her $1,000 of his own money.
Shabazz said his organization helped raise more than $20,000 for Megan.
Williams says Carmen Williams took all the money and that she saw very little, if any of it.
"Montel Williams gave me a $40,000 scholarship, a free tutor and a laptop and I didn't get any of that stuff," she said.
Williams said on Friday that she lied to people in Columbus, claiming that Daniels had abused her.
"[Daniels] always treated me right," Williams said Friday. "She did everything for us. She always took us out to get shoes, to eat. She took us to the dentist, the health clinic, counseling. I got my GED started because of her."
Daniels says Williams was in a psychiatric hospital recently because she had threatened to kill herself.
"I'm in the middle here," Daniels said. "I'm trying to help Megan and Shala."
